The four PTUs will provide the Royal Netherlands Air Force with a capability for evacuating patients in need of care. Additionally two pallets will be provided for the transportation of medical supplies.
 
The RNLAF C-130 MEDEVAC system will contribute to saving lives by transporting patients quickly and safely - the system is suited for military operations, humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations.  The systems will provide the Defence Medical operator with the most up-to-date, modern and innovative facilities to provide the best possible care for patients.

 
Marshall ADG is the prime contractor working with Spectrum Aeromed, Martin Baker, Nodin Aviation and Van Riemsdijk Rotterdam to deliver the MEDEVAC systems to the Royal Netherlands Air Force.  The baseline has been Nodin Aviation’s innovative design, enabling all companies to integrate the different components into a lifesaving system.
 
Marshall ADG has a long and proven history of designing, manufacturing, integrating, delivering and supporting innovative military medical systems.  The Patient Treatment Unit (PTU) chosen by the Royal Netherlands Air Force is an innovative system developed to cater for existing and future end users. The systems are modular and allow any type of transport aircraft to be converted into a MEDEVAC platform in a short space of time.
 
Marshall ADG has been supporting the RNLAF C-130 fleet with modifications and a range of maintenance, supply chain and engineering services for over 20 years. The C-130 MEDEVAC system represents a continuation of this long and successful relationship between the Netherlands Ministry of Defence and Marshall ADG. Marshall ADG’s commitment to the Netherlands is demonstrated through the utilisation of the Marshall Aerospace Netherlands office, located in Leiden to conduct the design and engineering for the MEDEVAC system in close co-operation with the other contractors.
