Matt Berkebile appointed President Farsound USA

Farsound has named Matt Berkebile as its new President of Farsound USA.

Matt Berkebile (above) will be based at the company’s brand-new US facility in San Antonio, Texas from the summer.

Matt comes to Farsound with a wealth of engineering and leadership experience, having built up a career of more than 17 years in gas turbine, aviation and power generation engineering in the USA. He has worked across a range of disciplines, including design, manufacture, repair, process development and commercial projects.

In his new role, Matt will oversee Farsound’s operations and growth in North America, developing the company’s reputation and market reach in this lucrative aviation MRO sector.

Farsound also has facilities in the UK, Canada, Spain, Japan and Singapore and Matt will work closely with the leadership teams there to ensure a global insight and approach.

Matt said of his new role: “I am delighted to be joining Farsound at such an exciting time for the company. The opening of our brand-new facility in San Antonio later on this year will provide an excellent base from which to expand our customer base in the US and beyond. I am looking forward to leading a great team of people towards ongoing development and international success.”

Kevin Sargent, Executive Chairman of Farsound added: “Farsound is in a stage of rapid, dynamic development and we are thrilled that Matt has agreed to take on the role of President Farsound USA and lead our presence in North America.
