Norton Rose Fulbright has a longstanding relationship with easyJet, which began in 1995, the year the airline was founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
The firm’s first major instruction came in 2000, advising on easyJet’s listing on the London Stock Exchange. Since then, it has supported the airline on a range of strategically important matters.
Partner Richard Green, who will co-lead the relationship alongside partner Zayba Drabu, said: “This appointment is a testament to the strength and breadth of our transport practice and the depth of our relationship with easyJet, which spans nearly three decades.
"It is immensely rewarding to work with such a dynamic and disruptive force in the aviation market. We’re proud to have supported easyJet through some of its most significant and transformative projects, and we look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality legal advice across the UK and internationally as part of this strategic partnership.”
Norton Rose Fulbright’s global team of aviation lawyers works with airlines, banks and financiers, lessors, manufacturers, insurers, export credit agencies, governments and regulatory bodies on the full range of aviation legal services. This includes fleet selection programs; partnering arrangements with fellow carriers, travel companies and other third parties; restructurings; competition law compliance; and a range of employment issues.
The firm also advises on major aircraft financing and leasing transactions, including acting on significant ‘first-of-their-kind’ matters.
