NP Aerospace receives GDLS add-on armour contract

NP Aerospace has today announced the award of a contract by General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada (GDLS–Canada) for the design and manufacture of add-on vehicle armour systems for a Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) international order.

The GDLS–Canada contract initiates a multi-year program that will see NP Aerospace design, develop, test, certify and produce the add-on up-armour systems that will involve NP’s proven composite armour survivability technology. NP Aerospace’s Canadian business will front and deliver the program, proving NP’s established and effective global footprint.

NP Aerospace is fully established as a trusted global supplier of vehicle-related products and services including integrated vehicle armour systems, with a proven and resilient track record in delivering armour system design and cutting-edge lightweight armour materials technology. 

This latest contract will result in the recruitment of staff that will increase the workforce at NP Aerospace Canada, continuing their successful growth trajectory and further contributing to the London and Southwestern Ontario region.

NP Aerospace is an existing supplier to GDLS–Canada with the previously announced Armoured Personnel Transport Modules (APTM) being delivered, through Marshall Canada, for Canada’s Logistics Vehicle Modernization programme.
