Peli reveals slimmest AAA ATEX safety torches and LED penlights

Peli Products has introduced its slimmest AAA ATEX safety certified torches - the Peli 1975Z0 & 1975Z1 LED penlights.

These compact and handy torches are designed for use in hazardous areas where explosive atmospheres could be present, such as oil & gas, petrochemical industries, pharmaceutical companies, petrol stations, power plants and for professionals working in fire & rescue brigades, aircraft inspection/aviation and production plants on chemical sites.

“The new Peli 1975Z0 and 1975Z1 LED lightweight penlights are powerful ATEX safety certified torches with the Peli toughness guarantee at a great price point,” said Piero Marigo, Peli Products EMEA Managing Director.  “A great penlight in the field can be invaluable for doing inspections in tight spots or attaching to a helmet. Peli has developed these handy torches for offering an empowered new alternative to the legendary Mitylite, by enlarging its power to 750% more lumens on the Zone 1 version.”

Engineered with an aluminum core and a nearly indestructible polymer shell, the 1975Z0 boasts ATEX Zone 0 (Category 1) safety certification and its body and shroud are made of anti-static impact modified PC/PBT,  while the 1975Z1 is certified for ATEX Zone 1 (Category 2) and it’s built of ABS overmoulded polymer. They can survive tough environments and are designed for safe usage in nearly any area, including those where flammable materials, gasses and accelerants are present.

Powered by two AAA alkaline batteries, these LED penlights are extremely lightweight (54 gr with battery), include a tail cap switch and an integrated clip for easy transport in a shirt pocket. The 1975Z0 shines 117 lumens of brilliant light for up to 2,25 hours of continuous run time. The 1975Z1 shines 94 lumens for a longer run time of 8,25 hours, that could last the entire workshift.

As with all other Peli torches, the  Peli 1975Z0 and Peli 1975Z1 LED penlights come with the Peli lifetime guarantee (where applicable by law).
