Security & Policing 2016: Kelvin Hughes demos SharpEye

Kelvin Hughes is providing demonstrations of its SharpEye solid state X-band radar at Security & Policing 2016, being held at Farnborough FIVE from 8th to 10th March.

It is displaying its SharpEye solid state X-band radar which, when paired with the latest multi-role camera mounts and its intuitive CxEye display and interface software, provides a situational awareness system.

To demonstrate its full versatility and flexibility, the company is deploying one of its Kelvin Hughes-branded surveillance vehicles equipped with video screens and processors using CxEye software for monitoring radar and camera information.

Creating both a mobile patrol and a command and control room scenario allows a demonstration of the full extent to which SharpEye technology can be applied for the protection of infrastructure, perimeters, ports and borders through early detection, recognition, identification and classification.

In addition, it is demonstrating the SharpEye SxV. A high performance, lightweight, mobile and deployable self-contained radar, weighing circa 20kg, the SxV can be transported by personnel on foot or deployed on a vehicle or a static mast. With only one cable connection, installation is simple and reliable and the SxV can be optimised for the detection of a range of targets, including airborne targets such as drones and UAVs, even in clutter conditions, making it the ideal sensor for the detection and early warning of threats.
