Smiths Engineering awarded SC21 Bronze Award

Ballymena based Smiths Engineering have been awarded Supply Chain for the 21 Century (SC21) Bronze Award for business excellence by the industry trade association ADS.

Smiths Precision an AS9100 approved supplier to the Aerospace Industry are delighted to announce achieving SC21 Bronze Award.

Significant and continued investment in our highly skilled workforce has kept us at the forefront of supply to the Aerospace sector.

The introduction of a suite of 5-Axis of Hermle Machining Platforms means that we are one of the fastest growing companies in the Aerospace supply chain. Our machining capability is complimented with an infrastructure of exceptional support in programming, programme verification and a comprehensive quality department.

Commenting on the award Managing Director Darwin Smith said “We are delighted to receive this award which recognizes our quality processes and our delivery and quality performance supplying the aerospace industry.”  

Presenting the award Leslie Orr, Director of ADS in Northern Ireland said “Congratulations to Smiths Engineering. It is great to see companies building capability and investing in continuous improvement.  These are particularly challenging times for the aerospace industry, we look forward to the resumption of flights and the industry moving again. Northern Ireland is the leading region for SC21 Awards and provides a trusted supply chain for the aerospace and defence industry.”
