UK's first CPC autoclave upgrade for aerospace composites manufacturer

The UK's composites manufacturer Atlas Composites has partnered with ASC Process Systems - now with a UK office based in Poole - to upgrade its autoclave processes at its 25,000 sq ft composites manufacturing facility with the installation of a CPC (Composite Processing Control) solution.

A five figure investment in plant sees Atlas Composites become ASC’s first UK customer to benefit from its CPC (Composite Processing Control) software and control systems retrofit, something which Atlas Composites MD Shaun Moloney is confident will provide added value to his customers.

“Installing new CPC systems to Atlas Composites’ existing autoclaves will ensure our operators, and consequently our customers, have greater accuracy, reliability, and a greatly enhanced audit trail – all of which are key drivers for our growing aerospace customer base.”

The CPC Autoclaves will be used to cure composite components for commercial and military aerospace, satellite communications, motor sport and unmanned aerial systems components amongst others.

ASC Process Systems UK Managing Director Paul Parson said “ASC have been supporting the aerospace composites industry with autoclaves and control systems for more than 20 years for companies such as BAE Systems, Boeing and Lockheed Martin amongst others. We are delighted to add Atlas Composites, UK leaders in composites manufacturing, to such a distinguished list”
