YouGov BrandIndex ranks Emirates as UK’s top airline brand

Emirates has been recognised as the number one airline in the UK by the YouGov BrandIndex.

Emirates has been operating in the UK since 1987, when it flew a single route out of London Gatwick and now operates 133 non-stop weekly flights.

The YouGov BrandIndex ranked airlines using the 'Buzz score', with Emirates receiving the most 'buzz points' from respondents, making it the brand of choice for travellers in the country.

Boosting brand awareness in the UK, the airline is extensively involved in UK sports through flagship sponsorships, such as Arsenal Football Club and the ATP Finals and through high-profile advertising campaigns.

Laurie Berryman, Emirates Vice President, UK, said: “Achieving the title of number one airline in the UK is a great honour and reflective of the hard work and innovation we put into our products to best meet the need of passengers.

"The UK is one of our most important markets, flying into six, soon to be seven, airports, and we are proud to be best placed to meet the need of travellers looking to travel to Dubai and beyond. We look forward to 2018 and continuing to serve this growing market.”

Emirates will be introducing a new daily service from London Stansted in June 2018 to further meet customer demand from the UK. The daily route will be operated by the airline’s new three-class Boeing 777-300ER, offering customers six seats in First Class, 42 in Business Class and 306 in Economy Class.
