Andrew Bernhardt joins AJW Aviation as Non-Executive Director

Financial leader and business transformationalist, Andrew Bernhardt, has joined the Board as Non-Executive Director at A J Walter Aviation Limited.

Andrew (right) has been appointed following several senior management changes at the global aircraft component support specialist and further strengthens the organisation’s focus on high calibre individuals to take the business forwards.

A highly experienced and proactive director / board member, Bernhardt has been a senior leveraged finance banker working for Barclays and GE. He moved into investment banking in 2007 with Straumur Investment Bank (now ALMC) and became head of asset management during the global financial crisis. He was subsequently appointed CEO on the successful restructuring in July 2010 where he remained until 2013. He is a current board member of ALMC.

His latest appointment in 2015 was as an independent Non-Executive Director at Cairn Homes PLC where he is on both the audit and risk committee, and the remuneration committee. He was heavily involved in the Cairn IPO and subsequent rounds of additional equity/bank funding, raising close to a further Euro 400m.
