The new contract is part of Aquila’s continued growth across the UK MoD and builds on its existing high-profile customer-base within Defence and Aerospace.

As part of Ascent’s Digital Transformation and following a rigorous competitive tender process, Aquila’s ALaRMS toolset was selected to support Ascent’s training of pilots and mission aircrew for the UK’s Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

The system will be rebranded as the Ascent Training Operations and Management System (ATOMS) for UKMFTS users. It will enable Ascent to optimise the management, delivery and assurance of training, creating a gold standard for contracted military flight training services anywhere in the world.

ALaRMS’ modern interface, high configurability, depth of functionality and technology innovation roadmap will help drive a giant leap forward in the management and delivery of flight training.

ALaRMS will be delivered across five locations, supporting over 2,000 staff and trainees operating a combination of live and synthetic training assets and devices in support of UKMFTS.

Mark Radbourne, CEO at Aquila Learning Ltd said: “Military flying training is often hugely complex and demanding, bringing a unique set of challenges that require the right mix of people, process, and technology to succeed.
