The new recruits will work on a variety of innovative projects including within the engineering department for emergency services at London Fire Brigade, engineering design and manufacturing within our Defence Support Group and in Aviation supporting the RAF to progress a range of sustainable aviation technologies.

Babcock's early careers colleagues will be located in operating sites from Leconfield to Bovington.

Tom Newman, CEO Land, said: “The Babcock graduate and apprenticeship programmes are a great opportunity for young people to kick-start their careers and experience a variety of roles across the business.  Working across the defence and resilience sectors the new recruits will truly add value to the communities they live in. We look forward to welcoming them as they help us fulfil our purpose of creating a safe and secure world, together.”

Romana, who joins Babcock as an Aeronautical Engineer, said: “My passion for aviation has opened a wide range of doors for me. I joined the Royal Air Force cadets for 3.5 years and through my experiences I took part in STEM related activities including a pioneering course called ‘Fantasy Wings’.
