DAHER becomes lead logistics provider to Airbus Helicopters

Having started out by conducting logistics operations for Airbus Helicopters' Donauwörth site in Germany in September 2014, DAHER is continuing to develop its business relations with Airbus Helicopters and is to become the sole logistics provides for Airbus Helicopters' four sites in Europe.

At the same time, this also makes DAHER the 'Lead Logistics Provider' for the world's leading helicopter manufacturer.

With the signature of new contracts and the renewal of existing contracts, DAHER is to coordinate and conduct logistics operations for Airbus Helicopters' four sites in Europe (Donauwörth in Germany, La Courneuve and Marignane in France and Albacete in Spain) until 2019. DAHER thus becomes the Lead Logistics Provider for the whole of this field of activity.

As Lead Logistics Provider, DAHER is responsible for managing the supply chain of its customer Airbus Helicopters. This allows DAHER to adopt a global approach to supply chain costs and associated improvement plans; deploy an operational approach that is the same across all sites to speed up flows and thus to optimise structures and resources; and deploy and share best practices across all the sites concerned.

This approach is perfectly suited to meet Airbus Helicopters' requirements in terms of cost reduction and operational performance. "This long-term agreement signed with Airbus Helicopters marks another step forward for our development strategy, which aims to provide a global turnkey service to our customers. Our ambition is to extend this level of service to other customers in the near future", explains Stéphane Mayer, President & CEO of the Aerospace & Defence Division of DAHER.
