DIMDEX: Horizon Technologies secures FlyingFish order with NATO customer

Horizon Technologies is presenting their new BlackFish Tri-Band Airborne Sat Phone SIGINT system at DIMDEX, as well as their Amber Maritime Intelligence data service which is expected to come online later this year.

Horizon Technologies CEO, John Beckner, said: “Horizon Technologies is proud to have been invited by the UK Government Defence Exports team to exhibit our products as part of their official stand. The Mid-East market is tremendously important for Horizon Technologies and we’re happy to have this chance to liaise with existing users in the region as well as to expand our sales to new customers.”

Beckner announced that Horizon Technologies is on track to have its best financial year ever. “Our first-quarter 2022 results will match our sales for all of 2021 and we are proud to announce a six-figure GB Pound sale of FlyingFish systems to an unnamed NATO end-user government agency with an urgent delivery requirement.”

Beckner noted that: “The current situation in the Ukraine has shown the need for NATO to divert more ISR assets to Eastern Europe. It’s an open secret that Russian troops are currently using various commercial tools, including Sat Phones to communicate.

"Horizon Technologies’ FlyingFish and BlackFish are key airborne systems for NATO countries’ ISR assets. As a non-ITAR product, FlyingFish and BlackFish systems are being procured and sent to the field with a minimum of delay."
