Dstl issues guidance on human-centred ways of working with AI in intelligence analysis

The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) has today published a guide exploring how it makes technology deliver, finding and using information as part of decision-making and combining it with artificial intelligence (AI).

The guide - a biscuit book entitled Human-centred ways of working with AI in intelligence analysis - has been written by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to help the people it works with think about AI and human-centric intelligence analysis, moving AI and the Lab to the user.

DSEI 2025

It is one of a series of biscuit books from Dstl, which are designed to be picked up and dipped into with a cup of tea and a biscuit and just as easily digested.

This biscuit book was written by:Dr Maire Byrne, Colonel Shaun Lamb, Major Brazier, Katie Ross, Oli Malpass, Dr Robin Frew, Dr Peter Harvey and Glen Hart, assisted by the Creative Hub.
