Last chance to apply for Bond's helicopter apprentice scheme
The scheme, which looks to fill six places in Aberdeen, two places in Norwich and two in Gloucestershire, will give students the chance to gain valuable qualifications in Aeronautical Engineering. Applications close on Friday 28th March.
Chris Greenhill, managing director at Bond Air Services said: “It is crucial we look to the future of the industry and develop the people that will be part of its growth. This scheme is a key part of creating the skilled engineers the industry needs to continue its life-saving work.”
Ian Fitzpatrick, Training Solutions director for Resource Group comments: “The aviation and aerospace industry is increasingly short of qualified engineers and our clients realising this are proactively solving the problem themselves with our support. This apprenticeship demonstrates the continued commitment of Bond to ensure a future supply of engineers within the industry.”
The first eight months of the Apprenticeship will be spent at Resource Group’s Aviation Technical Training facilities at Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire. Here they will complete an EASA Part 66 Category A course consisting of theoretical training, work-shop practice, on-aircraft practical training and a City & Guilds Level 3 Technical Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance. The remaining 16 months will be spent in a practical placement with Bond.
The apprenticeship programme is now in its ninth year and has delivered 150 technician apprentices into industry.
