Moog displays RIwP at DSEI 2025

Moog will display several variants of its innovative Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) at DSEI 2025 from today.
The turrets on display will highlight the significant flexibility of RIwP and how a common base ‘weapons hub’ can perform multiple roles. There will be particular emphasis on current and future British Army requirements, illustrating how using a common weapon hub for each of these delivers a multitude of operational advantages.
In its biggest showing to date, Moog will have a dedicated RIwP booth at DSEI (Land Zone), where visitors will be able to view two full-sized turrets. One will be configured for the British Army’s Specialist C-UAS role, while the second turret will demonstrate RIwP in an anti-armour configuration and is equipped for the Army’s MCCO/Force Overwatch requirement. This turret will further demonstrate RIwP’s unique flexibility by also being fitted with a 30x113mm XM914 cannon, offering an additional Generalist C-UAS capability.
The Specialist C-UAS turret will feature a larger 30x173 XM813 dual-feed cannon, which made its UK debut in July, alongside a 7.62mm M240 self-defence machine gun. The MCCO/Force Overwatch configuration will make its world debut and feature four surface-launched Brimstone missiles, a 30x113mm XM914 cannon and a 7.62mm M240 self-defence machine gun.
In addition to variants on Moog’s dedicated booth, there will also be a short-range air defence (SHORAD) variant of RIwP fitted to the General Dynamics Land Systems UK (GDLSUK) Foxhound. The Foxhound variant will feature the British Army’s in-service HVM/LMM missiles, a 30x113mm XM914 cannon, 7.62mm M240 machine gun, and the Thales PAAG sight.
The RIwP-equipped Foxhound demonstrates how light forces can leverage the significant firepower and lethality afforded by RIwP, combined with the proven capabilities of GDLSUK’s leading protected patrol vehicle.
Finally, a 1/3 scale model of RIwP will also be on display at the UK DSE (Defence & Security Exports) stand, demonstrating Moog’s readiness to export RIwP to allies while leveraging a UK manufacturing line and supply chain. Moog remains committed to manufacture and support RIwP at a dedicated UK facility if selected by the British Army.
While each RIwP on display at DSEI 2025 will be configured differently, Armed Forces would benefit from the deep commonality afforded by RIwP’s unique base hub design.Benefits include common training, maintenance and spares provision – not possible with other one-mission weapon systems. The reconfigurability of RIwP also allows users to spiral upgrade effectors and sensors to meet future threats as they emerge on the battlefield, giving Armed Forces a capability that can stay current and threat-relevant throughout the service lifetime of the host vehicle/platform.
