Raytheon Anschütz UK office moves to new location

The new location has a modern and well-equipped space to develop and integrate the UK Royal Navy Type 31 Warship Integrated Navigation and Bridge System (WINBS). Workshops and offices are co-located with the other shore equipment for the Type 26 and Type 45 programmes.

“Crucially, our new location puts Raytheon Technologies in the heart of our customer community and in a position best placed to provide support to the Royal Navy Fleet moving forward,” said Glen Cheadle, manager of the Raytheon Anschütz UK office.

Raytheon Anschütz is under contract to supply and integrate the WINBS for the Royal Navy’s new Type 26 and Type 31 ship classes. Raytheon Anschütz already delivered the WINBS for the Type 45 destroyers, and was under contract for in-service support.

At the end of 2020, the Ministry of Defence opted for the full Type 45 destroyer in-service support contract extension option, including a significant upgrade of hardware and the operating system.

“The new location will allow us to maximize our commitment to the MoD,” said Cheadle. “We look forward to being able to bring the new ship classes under our same support umbrella as they come into service.”
