Founded in the UK and operating at the intersection of propulsion, autonomy and platform design, Rotron has developed a distinctive capability in engineering both unmanned aircraft and the propulsion systems that power them. This vertically integrated approach enables high-performance, attritable platforms optimised for range, value, scalability and operational resilience.

Rotron’s portfolio includes long-endurance vertical take-off and landing systems and next-generation uncrewed combat aerial vehicles designed for precision autonomous engagement. Its proprietary propulsion technology and integrated aero-engine systems deliver high power-to-weight efficiency, enabling extended range, endurance and payload flexibility in demanding operational conditions.

The completion of the transaction strengthens Rotron’s position within the UK defence ecosystem, supporting sovereign capability development and enabling greater participation in NATO and allied programmes. The combination also enhances access to international markets and provides the scale required to accelerate deployment of advanced autonomous systems.

Gilo Cardozo, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Rotron, said: “This is a defining moment for Rotron. Joining Ondas gives us the scale, reach and resources to accelerate the development and deployment of our technologies for defence customers in the UK and across allied markets. Rotron’s mission, team and engineering culture remain unchanged. This partnership allows us to move faster, deliver more capability, and expand our impact in support of the UK and its allies.”

Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas, said: “Rotron’s propulsion and aircraft engineering capabilities represent a critical addition to our autonomous systems platform. Their technologies expand the endurance and operational reach of next-generation unmanned systems while strengthening our position within the UK and NATO ecosystems.”

Following completion, Rotron will continue to operate from the United Kingdom, retaining its engineering, manufacturing and development teams. The business will maintain its focus on existing customers and programmes while benefiting from increased investment and integration within the broader Ondas Autonomous Systems portfolio.
