Senior DIT DSO Press Officer Adam Thomas receives MBE

Adam Thomas – Senior Press Officer and Spokesman, Defence and Security Organisation (DSO) Events Team, Department for International Trade (DIT) – has been awarded an MBE for services to UK Defence and Security Industry, in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for 2019.

Adam received the award for his services to the defence and security industry over the last 25 years.

As senior press officer he has been a key member of the DIT DSO team, providing invaluable assistance not only for UK companies attending exhibitions in Britain – such as the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) and Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) – but also those exhibiting at events around the world. This includes liaison with government representatives and military personnel, as well as international, national and specialist media attending these events.
