Spectech becomes European distributor for LORD

Spectech has been appointed as a distributor for LORD Corporation vibration and motion control products, for aviation applications in the UK, Ireland, France and Spain.

Part of the STAG Aerospace and Defence Group, Spectech is a specialist in aviation parts supply management and stocking services to the aerospace and defence industries, and is currently the first and only European stockist of aviation products for US-based LORD Corporation.

Commenting on the significance of the announcement, Thibaut de Bouillane, commercial director for the STAG Group said: “We are delighted to represent LORD in Europe. LORD Corporation’s range of vibration and motion control products further broadens our existing range of aircraft spares and components.

“The agreement is part of Spectech’s long term strategy to offer a total aircraft component management service to aerospace manufacturers and aircraft operators. As a result of the appointment our customers will benefit from a pro-active European distribution service and technical support for the globally renowned vibration control products from LORD.”

Spectech is an engineering-led organisation with a strong existing client base including BAE Systems, Agusta Westland, Rolls Royce, SAFRAN, Zodiac Aerospace, the UK Ministry of Defence and most of the major NATO forces. A detailed understanding of customers’ technical components is a key part of the company’s service strength.

The STAG Group (turnover circa £24m with sites in the UK, France and US) has two divisions: Spectech Supply Chain Services provides a complete aerospace and defence parts service and Aircraft Interiors focuses on design solutions for the aerospace interiors market. Solutions are provided for fixed wing, helicopter, military vehicle and marine applications for an international client base in both the commercial and defence sectors.

LORD Corporation is a diversified technology and manufacturing company developing highly reliable adhesives, coatings, motion management devices and sensing technologies for aerospace, defence, automotive and industrial markets. The company, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, USA, has more than 2,900 employees in 25 countries. In 2012, revenues were generated in excess of $860 million.
