Airbus Defence and Space recognises supplier excellence

At the second annual Supplier Conference in Bremen on 17th September, 2015, Airbus Defence and Space recognised its suppliers who have excelled in performance, innovation and improvement over the last 12 months, with Meggit Control Systems (Dunstable) awarded Best Performer – Flight & Platform Systems.

Above: High pressure air travelling through the geometry of bleed air valves cast or machined in the traditional way is extremely noisy. Air should flow more quietly through a radical new concept from Meggitt based on a fir-cone design, an organic structure made possible through additive layer manufacturing.
